Durley House is a microcosm of peace among the swanky bustle of Sloane Street, Chelsea. The hotel is suite only, offering eleven finely-furnished suites, all kitted out with the air and grace of a classical English home tempered with modern touches. There's 24-hour room service and 24-hour reception service. Each room comes with a room safe, laundry facilities and lift access.
The hotel sits across from lush private garden areas and is only a few minutes away from both Sloane Square and Knightsbridge Tube stops, giving access to the rest of London. Also just around the corner are shopping Meccas, Harrods and Kings Road. Other transport hubs like Heathrow and Gatwick Airport aren't far off, and there's always a taxi to take you to and from some of the fantastic bars and restaurants residing in the immediate vicinity.
Up to four people can sleep in Durley House's spacious suites which start at 45 m². Facilities include direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, internet access, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and double or king-size beds. In the kitchen there's a fridge, oven and microwave, while the bathrooms contain a bath or shower and hairdryer. The rooms also come with central heating, individually regulated air conditioning and a safe.
The private Cadogan Gardens hold two tennis courts for guests to get to grips with. They're opposite the hotel. You can then enjoy complimentary access to a private health club which isn't far from the hotel. Here you can indulge in massage treatments or aerobics classes.
What Durley House lacks in onsite restaurants, it makes up for with the traditional dumb waiter service where your food is brought up to you through the wall and you fish it out of a hatch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be purchased using this process. If nothing else, this service alone gives the entire hotel that timeless English classicism.
