Pros: - food is surprisingly good (their vegetarian pasta ragu is unbelievably tasty) - decent selection of drinks on offer - nice large outdoor patio at the back Cons: - service can be hit and miss, especially if you order food for a large party at the bar (it’s one thing to take an order for 3 beers and another to take food and drinks orders with modifications and different modes of preparation for 5 people - the guy taking my order was definitely struggling and got a few things wrong. If I were the manager I would just send the waitress to the table as a one-off to make it a smooth experience for everyone)
Such a nice pub, such nice staff. They gave me a free lemonade/ soda after I kept dithering and it was so lovely. Great vibes, best way to spend a sunny day x
Amazing pub - an absolute local gem! Echoing the reviews here in saying that the food is exceptional and drinks are reasonably priced. My only negative is the structure of the food ordering and the different menus. The BBQ has a different menu that can only be ordered in the outside bar, then the bar inside has it own bar menu, then the designated restaurant inside has its own menu. The menu placement is a bit all over the place. No menu placed on tables, no menu at the barbecue spot but instead at the bar. With this all said, absolutely amazing place and this will be elite vibes in the peak of summer.
Our local is back! We were so excited to just see this place back open, but it is so nice to see how great it is. They have done a really good refurbishment and especially the garden looks amazing! The food we have tried was delicious, particularly the chopped beef. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. £4.75 for their house lager and great to see Thatchers Gold on tap. Support local!
Great local pub. Such a beautiful garden, great food and wine/beer. Really nice lively vibe.
