Description

Triff deinen Guide am Piccadilly Circus und erhalte eine Einführung in die Hintergründe der berühmten Wachablösung am Buckingham Palace. Hier erfährst du, was dich in der nächsten 1 Stunde und 45 Minuten erwartet. Geht anschließend als Gruppe weiter in Richtung des Prachtboulevards The Mall. Geht an der Pall Mall, dem Waterloo Place und der imposanten Duke of York Column vorbei. Hier erfährst du mehr über die britische Armee und beginnst, die Geschichte und das Erbe der Wachablösung zu verstehen. Sieh dir die beeindruckenden Denkmäler von Mitgliedern des Königshauses und berühmter Generäle an der Prachtstraße The Mall an. Erhalte einen Blick auf den St. James's Park. Bewundere den schönsten der königlichen Parks und sieh dir die majestätische Freifläche der Horse Guards Parade an. Weiter geht's zum St. James's Palace. Unterwegs siehst du vielleicht die Household Cavalry auf dem Weg von ihrer Kaserne im Hyde Park. Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt jedoch darauf, in Position zu gehen, um die Old Guard (britische Armeesoldaten) zu beobachten, wie sie zum Buckingham Palace marschieren, manchmal begleitet von einer Band.
