Explore the garden's winding paths at your own pace and experience the beauty and calm of this walled oasis in Central London. See the many highlights such as the 156-metre Herbaceous Border, the Horse Chestnut Avenue, the trees planted by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and the famous lake with the island that is home to the Buckingham Palace bees. When you have finished exploring, take advantage of a unique opportunity to enjoy a picnic on one of the sweeping lawns overlooking the Palace. You can bring your own picnic, or purchase delicious refreshments from one of the many food stalls on site.

  • All items must be no larger than 55 x 35cm in order to pass through airport-style security scanners
  • Non-permitted - Alcohol consumption, glassware, sharp-bladed knives, radio/speaker, barbecues, parasols, windbreakers and gazebos, ball games or similar
  • Food and drink is available to purchase on-site at an extra cost
