Description

Your journey will start at the iconic St Paul's Cathedral. The St Paul’s Cathedral of today is the fifth building to have occupied this site – officially completed in 1711, this building’s beautiful dome has been a crucial part of London’s skyline for over 300 years. The inside of St Paul’s Cathedral is just as much of a visual treat. Take in the many impressive Restrained Baroque architectural details and paintings as you explore this iconic London landmark. Next, cruise through the heart of London on a boat along River Thames, before docking at the maritime town of Greenwich. The boat ride offers a unique and fantastic way to admire London’s skyline in all its glory. You will then have a period of free time for lunch. For the rest of the day, you will spend time exploring Greenwich. Explore the Royal Observatory, which was built for the purpose of finding longitude at sea and is now a museum of time and astronomy. Check out the early Tompion clocks and displays that show how Britain was at the forefront of global exploration and trade. Greenwich was endorsed by international agreement in 1884 as the Prime Meridian of the world. You will be able to stand across the very line that separates East and West. Your tour will finish at approximately 5:00 PM and then you can hop on any return boat you like.
