I have frequently Freedom many times and it’s always been a great night out. The entertainment downstairs is always fun with great singers and a genuinely fun and enjoyable vibe. They may occasionally refuse people at the door but only when the place is literally heaving or large groups of drunk “Lads” who haven’t quite realised it’s a queer venue.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff and quality cocktails. Has a happy hour too.
I work in the area and we really like to hang out in Freedom after work. The staff is always lovely and the atmosphere great. They have a good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices, the place is clean and looks fancy and the music when we go party is always top notch. Would definitely recommend for an afternoon drink (around 17:00) is still quiet so it's a good place to meet up with friends for a catch up. Also a shout out to one of the managers, Daniele, he always takes great care of the customers :)
We went to the Freedom bar basement. We paid £6 which gave us a free drink. When we looked in the cocktail menu we noticed it was happy hour. But when we ordered and paid we were charged the full amount. When we contested they said happy hour was only upstairs. They should make this clear on the menu and not just tell you once you’ve ordered. A 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill as well. So we asked this to be removed. Staff looked like they didn’t care. We left soon after.
