It is not very far from Buckingham palace. That night I had a walk from Piccadilly Circus through the Green Park down to the Palace, and all the way to Victoria borough where my hotel was. Piccadilly Circus is very colorfull and full of shiny billboards. Some people compare it to the times square in NYC.

Charming yet functional Entrances on all sides of the namesake location so you don’t need to cross a road to enter the station. It retains a pleasant art deco design throughout. Platforms are well signposted with the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines distinguishable at a distance.
Piccadilly Circus is one of the most famous intersections in London, always lively and full of energy. The crowds did not bother me personally, and in the evening it is especially impressive with its large illuminated advertisements. A place definitely worth experiencing.
