The Gipsy Moth

I do like to come here when I am in Greenwich. The tap is always clean and the cider and beer extensive. I didn't eat this time. My friend and I bought dogs in and we were welcomed enthusiastically. A good pub atmosphere, and you can buy dog treats as well.
Probably the best pub in Central Greenwich with a great garden with views of the Cutty Sark. Can be busy at peak times during tourist season and you might have to reserve a table. Food is always good and the staff are always friendly. If people visit me from other countries the Gypsy Moth is one of the places I usually take them as an example of a traditional English battle cruiser. Crisp pints of Camden Hells and very clean tables with some interesting nautical themed artwork on the staircase. Highly recommended as well worth the price because of the service and location as well as the presentation of the drinks or the food.
Very cozy and nicely decorated restaurant area. The high glass ceiling greenhouse area looked very inviting and lush with all the creeping plants and blue sky above your head. Service was very good - staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Food was good too but I was a bit disappointed by my nut toast: the “roast” itself looked and tasted like a sloppy savory porridge. There was nothing roasted about it. The Yorkshire pudding was very dry and cold (it must have been sitting on the side since morning prep). Toilets are up on the 3rd floor so if you have any mobility issues I would avoid this place.
Had my Easter Sunday Roast here at the Gipsy Moth. The main meal was delicious & we got Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Chocolate Fondant too which were so decadent! Also got 2-3 drinks each. This pub is always busy on weekends & holidays as it’s so well located right in the heart of Greenwich Cutty Sark. They have a lovely pub garden too. I would highly recommend visiting!
Had a fantastic time at The Gipsy Moth – the staff were polite and attentive, making the whole experience really enjoyable. The pub has a great amount of space, so it never feels cramped, and the food quality was spot on. It’s also in a brilliant location, with a solid selection of great beers to top it all off. Definitely recommend!
