A cocktail bar that genuinely understands balance. We visited as two couples, and from the very first drink it was clear that the focus here is on precision rather than theatrics. Every cocktail we tried was exceptionally well balanced—nothing overpowered the rest, allowing each ingredient to play its role without competing for attention. One detail I particularly appreciated was the ice. Crystal clear, perfectly cut, and engraved with the Amaro logo. It may seem like a small touch, but it reflects the level of care that goes into every serve. Service was another highlight. The Italian bartender who looked after us (I wish I could remember his name) was knowledgeable, welcoming, and took the time to explain the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each cocktail. Understanding the story and technique behind the drink genuinely enhances the tasting experience. If I had one suggestion, it would be the interior itself. While comfortable and intimate, I feel the décor and furniture could be elevated a little further to match the sophistication and quality of the cocktails being served. That said, if you’re looking for expertly crafted cocktails made with real attention to detail, Amaro Bar is absolutely worth visiting.
On our last night in the UK before heading back to Taiwan, we was lucky enough to discover this fantastic bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly and professional, the cocktails were excellent, and the service was top-notch. Great atmosphere, amazing drinks, and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back on my next visit to the UK!
As an American you generally have a few options if you don’t like a drink: 1.) you muster up the strength to drink it or have your mates help you out 2.) take little sips to make a dent or let it sit When, Kira, our server noticed I was not keeping pace with my group she insisted on getting me a brand new drink at no cost. With my cultural tendencies, I assured Kira it was not issue. But she persisted until she eventually won and gave me an absolutely delicious new cocktail. And this was just the service. The cocktails themselves were downright exceptional. It takes your trendy award winning bar’s unique creations and goes one or two steps further. Even the drink I didn’t love, I know somebody would adore the craftsmanship behind it. The one Kira gave me in replace was nothing short of phenomenal (Tomato Bamboo). Wildly and weirdly refreshing. Perfect for a hot London evening. It went down way too easy and I wanted another one immediately, but we had dinner reservations (which Kira knew and rushed the process). With this service and these cocktails I’m sure this cocktail bar will be on some “best of” lists very soon, if they are not already. So with that being said, walk in or get a booking while you can!
Stopped by for a drink with my partner without a booking and we got a seat no problem. My partner loves a good old fashioned and was intrigued by the peanut butter version, he was very very impressed. Service, atmosphere and drinks all 10/10 definitely recommend for anyone looking for a lovely cocktail
We walked into Amaro Bar at 11:30 pm, one hour before closing. At first, the reception was not very welcoming. The waiter looked at his watch and indirectly implied that they were preparing to close, but since we had already arrived, they would let us in. This was slightly off-putting, especially as there were two other guests seated at the bar who stayed even after we left, so it did not feel necessary to make us feel as though we were intruding. We did clarify upon sitting down that we would only have one round and then leave. Setting that aside, the drinks themselves were excellent. While I don’t remember every order, the guava pisco sour and the kiwi margarita were both recommended to us and were outstanding. Apples and pears was a refreshing drink as well. Despite the initial reception, I highly recommend this bar for the quality of its drinks.
