I've been coming here for a long time, and I absolutely love this place. Last night, however, I had a very disappointing experience. I was there with my boyfriend. I stepped outside for a cigarette without realizing it was almost 2 a.m. and that the venue was about to close. One of the security staff outside was very polite and simply explained that the venue was closing and that we could either go back inside or leave. We appreciated how respectful and professional he was. While my boyfriend and I were briefly discussing what to do (I also needed to go back inside to find my friend), another member of the security team, who was inside the venue, suddenly started shouting at us, "You need to go inside!" We were already doing exactly that, so I replied, "You don't need to shout at me for me to understand." He realized from my accent that I was Italian and then, in Italian, said something incredibly rude and unprofessional: "You look like a couple of fourteen-year-olds looking for sex." I was shocked by such a disrespectful and completely inappropriate comment. I asked to speak to the manager, and he shouted back, "I am the manager!" I told him that if he really was the manager, he should be ashamed of the way he had spoken to me. Thankfully, another member of the security team, who was extremely polite and professional, stepped in, calmed the situation, and allowed us to go back inside. I genuinely love this venue and have always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I don't believe anyone, especially someone claiming to be a manager, should speak to customers in such a disrespectful and offensive way—particularly when we had already been calmly speaking with the security staff outside and were fully cooperating. This is the only reason why i am giving 2 stars.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great night at B1 Shoreditch. The atmosphere was brilliant, the music was good, and the place had a really fun vibe all evening. The drinks were spot on, and the bartenders were friendly, quick, and happy to help with recommendations. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Big shoutout to the security team as well. They were professional, approachable, and genuinely welcoming, which isn’t always something you find on a night out. Everyone made us feel comfortable and looked after from start to finish. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good night out in Shoreditch.

This bar absolutely delivers on atmosphere, quality, and service. From the moment you walk in, there’s an energy that feels welcoming without being overwhelming the perfect balance of lively and laid-back. The lighting and music set the tone just right, making it just as good for a casual catch-up as it is for a full night out. The drinks are top tier. You can tell the bartenders actually care about what they’re making — everything is well-balanced, beautifully presented, and consistent. Will definitely come back Ask for Samuel:)
