Love the place.the band playing tonight was amazing They called the blox. They not young but music and guitarist , drum, trumpets were great performers. The one in green shirt playing guitar is very good looking and he plays very good
Has all the charm to be a fantastic pub, great garden, okay food, good pints available. Unfortunately the food service was absolutely terrible when we visited. We were not told of the significant wait when we ordered, had an hour without food and the queue for the bar was insane, so we waited foodless and drinkless for most of our visit. Pizzas were fine, not worth the hype. Tables around us were not cleared the entire time we were there. Thoroughly disappointing as we’d walked past so many times and were excited to try! Would not go again for food and they are clearly not equiped for busy nights. (Bare in mind our visit was a Monday evening?)
Amazing independent pub with delicious food. We stopped by for the 2-for-1 pizza deal, which was amazing, then came back to try tacos and burgers - all really good as well. Great ambiance and they have live music, too. Truly a local gem. There's a really large outdoor area as well, so eager to come back in the summer.
The wait staff were too busy chatting to one another while we waited to order, to acknowledge that we were stood waiting to order. Our food order was very straightforward, but the staff member was confused, and we had to repeat, and clarify our order several times. Wine and food was very expensive for the poor service that we received. I don't care about leaving reviews anywhere, but it was a shocker of an experience. 2 stars because the food came out quickly.
I took my girlfriend to The Pelton arms for a Sunday roast last weekend, and all I can say is WOW! From arriving at the pub, we were greeted by friendly bar staff. It was really busy and we arrived an hour before our reservation time, so this tells me it’s a popular pub. We sat down at our table right next to the log fire which was beautifully warm! I tried 2 of the 8 real ales on offer, and absolutely loved them. We ordered our dinner (Roast beef with extra roasties), and it arrived at tge table within 10 minutes steaming hot. Delicious doesn’t even cover it - I could’ve eaten it twice. Nicely decorated, and a guy playing piano music in the background was really nice. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back again in tge future!
