We absolutely love coming to O'Neill's! Every time we are in London, it's our go-to spot. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the drinks are great. It always feels like a warm welcome. Highly recommended!
Coming from Italy, this was the first bar I visited and I loved it. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the drinks were great. A special thank you to our waiter Noor, who was so sweet and made the experience even better. I’d definitely come back!
We were initially just looking for a place to grab a drink and rest our legs when we stumbled into this establishment by chance. At first glance, it seemed promising. I’m a big fan of the QR-code systems on tables that allow you to order and pay directly. The solution used here was intuitive and user-friendly; our drinks arrived at the table about five minutes after ordering. After a bit of a breather, we decided to stay for a meal. When visiting a UK pub, one feels almost duty-bound to order Gammon with chips and egg if it’s on the menu. While adding two portions to the digital basket was seamless, the clumsy attempt at upselling—prompting us to re-order the exact same drinks we had just received—left a bit of a sour taste. The food arrived just over 30 minutes later, and with it came the disappointment. The cut of meat had been left on the grill for so long it was reduced to the thickness of deli meat. This dish is usually served with pineapple, and I think this is the first time I couldn't distinguish the pork from the fruit, as both tasted purely of char. While one staff member seemed genuinely engaged in providing a good experience, the individual serving our table gave the distinct impression that this wasn't a job they intended to keep for much longer. The background music was fine, but the volume could have been lowered without losing the vibe, especially for a midday visit in a side street off one of London’s most famous thoroughfares.
Excellent food. Menu is varied. Good drinks. Nice atmosphere. Overall well priced with decent size portions. My fish and chips, perfect.
