There's a real mix of décor in No.11 which sees rooms engage either the classical English country house style or the newly regenerated Louis XV appeal. The whole refurbishing process was completed in 2009 and, by the time the award-winning designer, Paul Davies, had finished with No.11, the levels of glamour and sophistication rose considerably.
It's now a gorgeous blend of modern chic and Victorian grace and, this iconic, globally-recognised venue provides fantastic services in spas, restaurants, and up-to-date gyms.
Cleverly contrasting colours of rich, deep reds and browns, together with the enamel-white dining room add a touch of theatre while plush brocade fabrics, antiques and Murano glass chandeliers create an opulent home-from-home feel.
The bar at No.11 is definitely a focal point of the whole venue. It's dark, intimate but still highly sociable. Order a cocktail or two or a bottle of some fine wine to share with friends, and the atmosphere at the bar will do the rest. Meanwhile the restaurant here can seat up to seventy diners spread across five dining areas. The meals are as contemporary as they are delicious.
With Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and the King's Road all right around the corner, you'll be in constant battle with urges to explore these retail-rich areas for some upmarket products. Then, come back for some fruity cocktails before a trip to the nearby theatre, or indulge yourself with a night in at the hotel's fantastic restaurant.
