Absolutel gem! Fantastic location in the heart of the Greenwich market, fantastic food and great choice of drinks, ales and great and fast service. We visited with our two sons who enjoyed their food too. Doors were open to the terrace to let the chatter of the market in. Loved it!
Stayed two nights in June, two of the hottest days of the year, with record temperatures. Our room had no air conditioning only a couple of fans which just circulated the hot air. We didn't eat here as the only night we could they had a very limited menu of just burgers. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. There are no lifts to the rooms but the staff took our luggage up and down as we wanted. The outside seating is within Greenwich Market.
Came here for a quick bite - left with my belly full, and a big smile on my face. I wanted to try some decent fish n chips while in London, they had stands everywhere in tourist areas but I skipped. Before leaving, I randomly fell upon this bar who happened to have fish n chips on the menu. To my surprise, they were some of the best I ever had. The batter was perfect, crispy but not oily, flavourful but not enough to pull away from the fresh fish! The fries were chefs kiss, the pea mash was some of the tastiest veggie mash I ever tried, and the dip for the fish was made to perfection. Thank you for your hospitality and quality food, I’ll never forget it.
When we are staying in London we always visit Greenwich as it is a lovely place and easy to get to on the DLR. We fancied a drink and a snack so we saw the sign for this pub and decided to try our luck here.....so glad we did. The bar area looks amazing with lots of naval memorabilia etc so we sat down and looked at the bar menu. We were drawn to the sharing platter which we ordered from the bar, along with a pint of "Admiral's Best" beer and a nice glass of Pinot for my wife. I have to say the sharing platter was amazing, and the drinks went down a treat. Also to keep us amused, all the tables have a glass with "Trivial Persuit" quiz cards in. The lady serving behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. I can certainly recommend this pub, we will certainly be back next time we visit this lovely place
Great hotel in the heart of old Greenwich. Literally right by Greenwich market and central to everything. We stayed there and the room were excellent. Check in was in the bar and all the staff were really friendly. Nothing too much trouble. We were in room 3 and it was extremely comfortable with a really nice bathroom. Food in the pub was excellent and a good choice of ales as well. Highly recommended.
