Explore the life of Britain’s greatest wartime leader Winston Churchill and delve into London’s wartime history with this Churchill and World War 2 Walking Tour.
Your Churchill & World War 2 tour includes Downing Street, the centre of British political power and Churchill’s headquarters during the war. You’ll also see the Ministry of Defence, where key military decisions were made that shaped the course of history, and the Memorial to the Battle of Britain, paying tribute to the brave pilots who defended Britain from invasion.
You’ll see St Margaret’s Church where Winston Churchill married Clementine Hozier, a site rich with personal history and reflection along with the iconic Churchill statue that overlooks Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. You’ll also visit the Cenotaph, the country’s most important war memorial, where Britain commemorates the lives lost in the two World Wars, and the Women of World War 2 Memorial which honours the vital contributions women made during the conflict.
