I was so excited to finally have dinner at Cépage, and it was even better than I had imagined. There were four of us, which meant we could share lots of dishes, and I’m so glad we did because every single one was amazing! The aubergine caviar with torched tuna completely blew me away. It was so fresh and full of flavour. The escargot pie was another highlight. I’d never had escargot prepared like that before, and I absolutely loved it. It was also my first time trying boudin noir, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Also the 12-hour cooked ox cheek was so tender that you could cut it with a spoon. I genuinely can’t pick a favourite because I loved everything we ordered. Last but not least, I have to mention the little details… the menu, the knife holder, and even the butter were just the cutest!!! I already can’t wait to go back

First of all, the restaurant is now run by a new Chef. The food is absolutely incredible. After years of traveling the world and trying many fancy places, it’s very hard to find something that can still surprise you, where every ingredient is there for a reason, contributing to the end result. Every single thing on the plate has earned its right to be there. Nothing is added just to look clever or justify a price tag. With every mouthful, you can actually taste the brains at work behind the stoves. It’s logical and yet creative. If you truly love good food, get yourself to Cépages immediately. Honestly, if you live in Paris, forget your local bistro and hop on the Eurostar. And if you’re sitting in Tokyo right now... get to the airport. It’s that good.

We loved our dinner last night at Cépages and each dish, small, medium and large all had personality. We started off with a nice glass of champagne and we were served two small slices of bread with a tapenade which was delicious but wished we had a little more. We were eager to try many different dishes as they all sounded intriguing and ended up ordering 3 small, 3 signatures and a to share dish. The potato pancakes were literally melt in your mouth despite having beautiful colour of pan cooked cakes. The Dover sole was simply divine and incredibly simply prepared. A perfect combination of savoury whilst preserving the delicate texture of the fish. The 12 hour Ox cheek was fork tender and didn’t require a knife to cut at all. The sauce was rich but not overpowering and just the right amount of saltiness. The service was pleasant and everyone seemed quite friendly. I should mention the restaurant is relatively small so be prepared to sit close to your neighbours. Hope to return to try more dishes.

Freshly reopened with the new owner, French young talented Chef, Gaston, Cépage gave us an amazing date night! Each dish was a surprise, with a strong French foundation with an innovative young twist as a finish….an absolute delight. We’ll definitely come back with family and friends!

This was one of my favorite wine bars in London. It closed for a while, and I recently discovered it has been renovated by a MasterChef contestant and it’s 10x better than before. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was great. I had the savoury crêpes with mussels, which were unexpectedly amazing, as well as the chicken with langoustine. I’d strongly recommend it for a cute date night or an intimate dinner with friends. Forgot…. the ox cheek was as soft as butter
