The welcome from front of house could have been a bit friendlier so not a good start. We were served by Shaun who seemed polite enough but was a little forgetful about my dietary requirements and didn’t offer me gluten-free bread as I had to ask while everyone else got their normal bread offering. My gluten free 2 slices of toasted bread arrived after I finished my main. I’m not sure if it was homemade or not but tasted ok. The food was tasty and presented well, but it could have be a lot better if we didn’t leave feeling hungry. The portions were tiny! No cabs with the fish main course and we couldn’t order side dishes for example potatoes or extra vegetables which was specified on their menu on the website and at the doorway. The actual menu that we ordered from had far less options. The description of the baked Alaska dessert didn’t match the menu when it was served and Shaun failed to mention this that the chef changed it. My chocolate and almond cake served with 1 teaspoon of coffee ice cream that was very sweet and it was not cold in enough. Well, if they are charging normal restaurant prices I expect a certain standard in return please. So all in all an expensive and disappointing experience.
Our waitress was a first-year trainee called Reya, aged 17. She was understandably a little nervous at first, but she was absolutely excellent. She was polite, attentive and whenever she didn’t know something, she wasn’t afraid to check and come back with the right answer, which I really appreciated. The food and service were both very good, and it was lovely to see young people learning and gaining confidence in such a welcoming environment. I will definitely be going again and would happily recommend it to others. REBECCA
We stumbled upon the Vincent brasserie and café for lunch and we are so glad we did! Our meal was delicious: beautifully prepared. (I am very picky about the cooking of salmon, as a lot of restaurants get it very wrong. The salmon here was perfect!) What really sets this place apart, though, is that all of the workers are students in the hospitality program at Westminster Capitol City College. Well the service was a little irregular at times, the employees were all charming and very concerned about providing a good dining experience. We highly recommend the Vincent Rooms! We will be back.
This was such an experience, A seven course tasting menu with paired wines . The service was friendly efficient and informative, as they explained each course. Each glass of wine presented was accompanied by a flavourful dish . The cosmopolitan cocktail was delightful, they also serve a nonalcoholic version . This was such a wonderful experience the ambience of the restaurant is delightful, great place to visit for pleasure or a business lunch of dinner. Thank you.
Had a great Xmas lunch here. Everything was perfect and included drink, party pack, cracker and mini mince pies to finish off. The food was great. I particularly enjoyed the Game Terrine starter. Can't wait to revisit on a themed menu. Well done!!!
