Description
Depart from London on a full-day sightseeing tour combining Oxford and the Cotswolds. Travel through the scenic English countryside, following a carefully timed route that visits each location at a different point of the day. The experience blends sightseeing, scenic drives, and free time, without rushing between stops.
Arrive in Oxford during the morning and explore the historic university area while the city remains calm. Guests have time to walk through the main university streets, see notable colleges and landmarks, and take photos. Nearby viewpoints offer a chance to admire the skyline as Oxford takes on a distinct character in the morning.
Continue west into the Cotswolds with countryside views along the drive. The afternoon stop is Burford, known for its long sloping High Street and traditional stone buildings. Time is provided for independent exploration, short walks, and photo stops.
Later in the day, reach Bourton-on-the-Water, a village defined by its low stone bridges and riverside paths. The relaxed pace allows time to walk through the village and enjoy the surroundings. If the day is clear, the softer evening light enhances the village atmosphere.
The final stop is Stow-on-the-Wold, a historic hilltop market town. Time is available to explore the town square, browse local shops, and see notable landmarks, including the well-known church doorway often linked to The Lord of the Rings.
The return journey to London begins in the evening after completing the final village visit. The itinerary is designed to balance structure and flexibility, allowing guests to experience Oxford and the Cotswolds at different times of the day while enjoying scenic views throughout the journey.
