Description

Spend one to two hours touring this Grade I listed building in Mayfair, ascending its 250-year-old staircase to Handel’s rooms. Here, Handel composed, rehearsed, and performed, including writing the Messiah. The windows are notable for the event when Handel threatened soprano Cuzzoni for refusing to sing an aria.

Throughout the day, musicians often play harpsichords, creating an immersive baroque atmosphere. On the second floor, visit Handel’s dressing room and bedroom, where he lived and died after 35 years at the center of English court music.

The third floor shifts to 1960s London, featuring the flat Hendrix shared with Kathy Etchingham at 23 Brook Street. This space has been carefully recreated using detailed research and Kathy’s insights, preserving the room where Hendrix lived, played, and gained fame before his death in 1970.
