♫ Who is Bach to Baby for? ♫
Bach to Baby is for newborns all the way up to school kids, mums, dads, grannies and grandads, aunts, uncles, and carers of all kinds. Our concerts are perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. Whether you’re a concert newbie or a classical music aficionado, we promise you will feel welcome.
♫ What are our concerts like ♫
Children can cry and dance and sing as much as they like. We welcome you and your child to move around during the music, and you can always step outside or go to the toilet if you need it.
We do ask adults to keep their chit-chat to a minimum so everyone can enjoy the quiet intimate moments of the music
♫ What can you hear at a Bach to Baby concert? ♫
Our programmes that are classical range from Bach to Barber, from Chopin to Shostakovich. Studies show the positive effects of live classical music and children are like little sponges at this stage.
While rooted in the core classical repertoire, Bach to Baby has always been passionate about celebrating different music traditions, including foot-stomping Klezmer, manouche jazz, Afro-Latin rhythms, Hungarian Magyar, and British and Caribbean sea shanties. Not to mention operatic arias, hits from musicals, Disney favourites, and a healthy dose of Beatlemania!
We bring musicians from the top concert halls to perform in inspiring locations in your neighbourhood. Our artists reflect the multicultural world that we live in today, with diverse heritages: Afro Cuban, Indian, Brazilian, Israeli, Chinese, Korean, Eastern European, Japanese, as well as the British Isles. Our incredible performers bring the flavours and experiences of their roots with them.
