Description
After collection in central London, the tour departs for Avebury for a short walking tour around the stone circle that surrounds the village. You will have free time to explore the village, with lunch recommended at the Red Lion Pub, which can be busy during peak times.
A short drive follows to Silbury Hill, where you will walk to West Kennet Long Barrow. This Neolithic burial tomb is over 5,000 years old. Your guide will take you inside the chambers and explain its history.
The tour then continues to Stonehenge for special access to the inner circle, which is usually closed to the public. You will spend up to an hour inside the stone circle with a fully guided experience. After this, the group returns to London. Timing may vary depending on traffic and local conditions; the tour manager will confirm drop-off locations during the day.
