Reviews
Location is good- right by portobello market. The staff are friendly and attentive. We were sat down by the manager/host who was very friendly. Our server was Mo- incredible costumer service: attentive, nice, quick, funny and most importantly personal. Mo really made the dining experience unforgettable and he deserves the praise for it. The food was ok. We had a beef wellington and a beef roast- both were slightly dry and lacked any flavour. The beef wellington wasn’t much of a wellington and was overcooked. The standard of the food doesn’t really justify the price tag. Overall, seems like more of a place to go to wind down after walking through portobello street and grabbing a cold drink enjoyed with great costumer service. Verdict: food ok, costumer service incredible
The food was meh. The poached egg was not poached. It was cold. Beer was good though. Ambient too. Also almost 45 minutes to an hour to get us 3 English breakfast. Service was rude, like not wanting to be there and not helpful at all. The app they make you download doesn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend to eat here. 30 pounds and it was *not good*.
I came her for a Sunday roast and it was a lovely time! The chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. The vibes were also very cozy, and the service was exactly what it needed to be.
Had a beautiful Sunday Roast and terrine. Didn’t know what to expect as it was our first time having both but it was so good! Beef was tender and juicy and the terrine was such a surprise. It was rich and savory. Paired so perfectly well with the pickles and mustard. Staff were fantastic! Our main was actually forgotten but we had such a great time we didn’t realize. One of the staff noticed us looking around immediately and knew we were missing a meal even though he wasn’t the one who had helped us in the beginning. Got two drinks on the house that we wasted on a cold soda and hot chocolate (we no longer drink), but the hot chocolate tasted so rich to my surprise! Would’ve loved to have just one more cup.
