Great place for larger groups. Good service. Great Sunday Roast starting at noon, with a DJ soon after. Make sure to get reservations.
We went for a last minute Sunday Roady.... The roast was really good, tasty and a decent portion. I asked for extra gravy and they didnt skimp on that one, gotta give them points for that. 😍 I couldn't even finish mine I was so full. The staff was friendly, they allowed us to reserve a table on the spot as they don't take walk ins for upstairs and downstairs was full. The only let down was the long wait to be seated.
How to surmise an evening of such delight? In a word - exquisite. I was overwhelmed by the warmth with which I was greeted upon entering the door. As I stood there, taking in the warm wooden panelling and groovy music (ripe with profanities, though I must say), gliding my way was the wonder that is Ella. She recommended a rich, creamy Irish stout which I paired with the establishment’s fine crisp selection. Ella then gave me sage advice on the local falafel scene, which capped off my evening in a delicious fashion. Thank you Ella, and all the wonderful Owls and Pussycats - it’s people like you that make this little island great!
I went there with a group of friends for Sunday roast. We were sat upstairs which was a welcoming and pleasant space. The roast cam quickly after the order and we were pleasantly surprised. The portions were large and had plenty of vegetables in -the chicken roast to share in particular was a huge portion. The chicken and veggies were very well cooked. My friends said that the beef was quite tough, though. Service was polite and helpful. I would definitely return.
Okay guys, we need to talk seriously😆 This potato with ox cheeks is absolutely mind-blowing🤤 If I understood correctly, it’s part of the festive menu. If you’re booking a Christmas party here you absolutely have to order this dish. The booking manager and waitress Karyna were incredibly attentive. The food and drinks were outstanding — thank you!
