I had a quick bite here before seeing a play at the national theatre. I like that they have vegan options, clearly labelled but staff is also careful in checking to make sure. Service was great, quick and friendly. Inside was not busy at all and there was air-conditioning, so I enjoyed my meal. The churros are vegan and the sauce is too, which is delicious. I expected the churros to be more crispy though. The vegan tacos were also nice, I really like that they are made with aubergine, and it's great that you can choose how many to have - between two and six. Reasonably priced.

Nice range of food available. It would have been nice if the outdoor bar had stayed open longer l think it closed at 8pm which I think was a tad early on a hot summer day. But nice venue overall 😊

A great bar on the riverfront. There is a good selection of nice food and drinks at a reasonable price. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a great atmosphere when the sun is shining.

The Understudy is the sister bar of the National Theatre and also a stand alone venue. Great staff, great service and always buzzy. Can be super busy in summer but they havs a ton of outdoor space. Great beer selection with guest breweries (at time of writing the wonderful Wiper and True).
