I always come here just for the lasagna. It’s delicious and not heavy at all. All the ingredients are well balanced, and the taste has not changed since I first tried it in 2019. If you are a lasagna lover, it’s definitely worth visiting. As for the pizza, it is just average and acceptable.
Great afternoon. Very welcoming. Adjust to suit number of guest. Pat the waitress was exceptionally friendly. Made you feel special. Miss DR you are a great hostess. Highly recommend. Food was good. Not too pricey for South Bank. Defo go again.
Being 100% honest I wasn’t expecting amazing things due to the location, I expected it to be expensive mediocre food but we were pleasantly surprised. Popped in here about 8.45pm and there were only a couple of other tables with people on so the atmosphere wasn’t brilliant. To start with I thought the waitress was a bit surly but she did come round eventually but the pizzas !!!! Absolutely beautiful, highly recommend the pepperoni with hot honey. And really not overly expensive for the location. The place was spotless. Would highly recommend
A friendly, dependable, unfussy pizza spot tucked just along the South Bank from the National Theatre, with wide views across the Thames to Victoria Embankment. About a 10-minute walk from Waterloo. A favourite. We’ve been coming here for years. The river close by, plenty of room inside and out, and the South Bank crowds just beyond. I almost always order the American with added anchovies and black olives. The base is thin and crisp, the toppings generous, and it arrives hot and tasty. Simple and well made. After eating, we enjoy the view by the river towards St Paul’s and the City, especially when the skyline is lit at night.
Stick to the pizza. This was a bit of a mixed experience the service was ok especially as they were busy. I wouldn't say they were friendly but we didn't have to wait which was good. The food however let them down, especially as they can't be described as cheap even for the location. The ceasar salad arrived without dressing and the parmesan shavings looked older than my kids. Unfortunately the dough sticks had been left in too long and were burnt as you can see in the pictures. The pizzas on the other hand were decent. We aren't talking gourmet but they were tasty. The kids meal was by far the best for taste and value. Paying £4.25 for a can of coke feels pricey even by London standards. If you need somewhere to eat in a hurry, indoors with Kids, this might be worth a shout. Otherwise the local street food offers as good food for a far lower price.
