Such a charming and authentic Italian experience. The napolitan-style pizza is really good. We came to Portobella Road to experience the atmosphere and charm. This little Italian place fits right in with my expectations of a “find” on this iconic road. The food is authentic Italian prepared by Italian chefs. The staff are all extremely welcoming.
Having visited Sorrento and developed a real love for authentic Italian food from the region, I can honestly say this restaurant surpasses even some of the food we had there. The owners are from Sorrento, and it truly shows in the cuisine, the ingredients, and the overall quality. The pizzas are outstanding — wood-fired, expertly made, thin and perfectly Neapolitan, with the freshest ingredients and beautiful flavours. My wife had the Borlotti bean soup, which was incredibly filling and wholesome — genuinely tasted like proper home cooking, the kind Mama would make. I had the pan-fried seabass with roast potatoes: a very generous portion, a lovely piece of fish with perfectly crispy skin, cooked exactly as it should be. The homemade lemonade is a must, and the homemade tiramisu is the perfect way to finish the meal. This place is a real hidden gem in the Portobello Road area. It has expanded over the years and has different sections, but the service and food quality remain second to none. It’s definitely our go-to place whenever we’re in the area. Superior tasting pizza. Great crust, tasty sauce and fresh ingredients. Bellissimo! Let's talk about the service now. We needed delivery, no car, which had stopped because it is late. It is raining/snowing as well. Brought to our home by a lovely driver who offered this 5 star service. Between this fantastic tasting pizza, which I am in love with, and the 5⭐ customer service.
We had an outstanding meal here, starting with the pizzas. They are the proper, authentic kind—perfect crust, fresh toppings, and cooked just right. The pasta was equally impressive. I highly recommend the pappardelle with porcini mushroom sauce; the sauce was incredibly rich and flavorful—truly delicious. To top it all off, they serve my favorite dessert, affogato! It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. If you're looking for genuinely amazing Italian food, great service, and that perfect affogato finish, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back!
