War Horse is a tale filled with fate, drama and danger. When World War One breaks out, young Albert's prized horse Joey is sold off to the cavalry and shipped to France for frontline use. With heavy enemy fire descending, Joey bolts and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey where his strength and honour makes him an asset for both warring sides before finding himself stranded in the desolation of no-man's-land.
Meanwhile, a distraught Albert cannot forget Joey, and yearns to be reunited with him. Too young to enlist in the war effort, he escapes to France and embarks on his very own odyssey in an effort to bring his beloved Joey home.
