For the fourth year in a row, I bought my wife £100 Cowshed vouchers for mother’s day. She had been to Shoreditch and Primrose Hill in years past. This year she turned up to the Shoreditch Spa and had a treatment, only to find out she could not use the gift vouchers. She was told that Cowshed Gift Voucher was nothing to do with the spa and front desk staff were not overly helpful! So obviously my bad or maybe my own stupidity for not reading properly! I had bought the gift vouchers in yrs past without any issues with them being used in the spa. So Cowshed had changed their website info and or T&Cs. Anyway, that’s the last of the Cowshed gift vouchers I will be buying, as you can only spend them on online products!
Lash lift - Feeling fairly unhappy with the results. My lashes have been put on the wrong size pad, causing these to curl in on themselves. Also left with a lot of dye on my face and lashes. Lash tech was resting all the chemicals / dyes on my shoulder .. meaning she kept leaning on me during and the smell was so strong as it was right next to my face. I would not pay £100 for this again It is also right next to the reception for Shoreditch house so you can hear all the staff talking very loudly, exceptionally unrelaxing.
Had the 30 min signature facial and massage. Very nice after a red eye! A bit awkward to carry all my clothes from one room and floor to another. Would be great if there were lockers and robes for customers. Facial area is not relaxing due to proximity to hotel lobby immediately adjacent. Sounds like you’re in a bar during treatment 😅 that said it was nice but I’ll try somewhere else next time. 4 stars for service but 3 for atmosphere.
Had a really wonderful deep tissue massage here with the masseuse Ayaka (hope I spelled her name correctly!). I like a really firm massage to knead out my knots, and Ayaka listened well and adjusted pressure perfectly. She definitely came across as experienced in her technique. The whole experience was super pleasant and relaxing. Not sure what some of the negative comments are about but this is one of the best massage experiences I’ve had in London for sure. Would love to come back.
