Pubs
Bulky, blocky wooden tables with legs up to their armpits and equally leggy chairs look out the windows of Beak Street's Alphabet Bar.
But this isn't just a bar. Sure, they serve a a huge range of mouth-watering, moreish cocktails like the English, Pink, or traditional Mojito, Whiskey Fizz, Southern Mule and Cosmopolitan, but there's an extensive food menu too, stuffed to the back teeth with succulence. Cold and hot tapas to tempt your fingertips; sharing platters to try by the fistful like nachos or nachos with chicken; delectable salads made for the pointy ends of your cutlery; and steaks and burgers made for sharpened carving knives and wide-open mouths to wrap around.
It's one of Soho's coolest places to be, not least of all thanks to its party nights and other events. But, watch out for those prices - they'll rack up swiftly the minute you take your eyes off them. It's Soho, after all.
