We just went for some drinks. They place is really classy from the inside. Sadly the service was atrocious. We had to wait for the staff several times up to 20 minutes. When we were done and wanted the bill, nobody showed up at all. I asked a passing waiter several times, but he just ignored me. Now comes the best part. The counter were you get greeted and shown to your table had 2-3 People in it the whole time. Looking right at us from 3 feet away. Pub was great, beer was fantastic, staff sadly not.
My family and I had an amazing time at the Blue Boar Pub - highly recommend! Everything was delicious and of high quality, and we'd like to thank Tyrell for the amazing service and putting up with our broken English! Also special thanks for being an accessible location for a wheelchair user - this made a big difference for us!
My husband and I decided to go for a Sunday roast here since we were staying at the Conrad. It was an excellent choice! The food was delicious and we enjoyed both of our drinks. The staff was very pleasant and the service was quick.
Everything was excellent from start to finish. The beef Wellington was outstanding — perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavour. The Bloody Mary was equally impressive, well balanced and expertly made. Great food, great drinks, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
A great choice for a family brunch / lunch - lots of great choices for seating, relaxed, unhurried and really warm service! There was genuinely something for everyone on the menu - the add ons and extras were generous portion wise and these felt like decent value for money. The children's menu was from about £12 but again portions good and ingredients good quality. Coffee was superb, food was excellent and staff lovely. The whole place was pristine (including the toilets!) and we felt really comfortable throughout our lunch. Next time we would consider the bottomless drinks options ... £25 for 90mins!
