Great meal and quick service. Order virtually on a tablet, still got better service than some other places in the area. This is also well placed on the strip.
Southbank is one of my favourite places to spend a summer evening, and Giraffe never disappoints. We booked ahead to sit outside, which I would definitely recommend as it can get quite busy. The booking process was simple and straightforward, and upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and immediately shown to our table. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for – beautiful weather, lovely company, and the perfect outdoor setting to relax and unwind. Watching the sun set along the South Bank while enjoying a meal is always such a special experience. The food is consistently good, reasonably priced, and there is genuinely something for everyone on the menu. What makes each visit even more enjoyable is the staff. They are friendly, attentive, and regularly check in to make sure everything is okay without ever being intrusive. They have a wonderful way of making guests feel welcome and at home. I've honestly lost count of how many times I've visited Giraffe over the years, but every visit has been a positive one. Whether it's for a family meal, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying the view with a refreshing drink, it's always a place I look forward to returning to. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality and for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back again soon.
Taking a short city break in London and staying in a hotel near the South Bank for one night, we chose to eat out here, excellent choice ! I would highly recommend having your evening meal here We didn’t prebook a table in advance, we were lucky the restaurant wasn’t too busy on the night we visited, so the staff easily found us a table, Really amazing food !, great cocktails ! The service staff were great, we had :- Classic cheese burger Fries Garlic Bread Katsu Chicken Curry Bottle of Malbec Chocolate Fudge Cake Chix Hanging Kebab Mojito’s Margarita’s Havana Club Spiced Punch’s Pina Colada’s Absolutely amazing meal out sat on the South Bank right next to the amazing Golden Jubilee Bridge with views of the London Eye… all lit up at night just looks fantastic We really enjoyed this eating out experience and the location is great for the views (Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food for this one)
We came to giraffe as a group of 9 in the Easter holidays for dinner, we were sat within 5 minutes although it was very busy outside. We never felt rushed and spent a couple of hours in there, the food was good, the vegan katsu curry could have had more sauce and veg but the flavour was good. The Pinot Grigio was really nice and had an ice bucket keeping it cool. Everyone was happy with their food, the service was quick without feeling rushed !
myself and my partner were looking for somewhere to dine before heading over to the theatre and we are SO glad we decided on this restaurant! we were seen to as soon as we entered and were quickly seated. the staff were incredibly attentive and checked back quite often. there’s the option of table service from staff or the use of self-service tablets on the table which we loved it as it meant we got to see photos of the food and what to expect. there was even a little comments button so you can remove certain items from your meal if you wish (definitely useful for me removing the chillies from the katsu). there are also physical menus that you’re given on arrival which was great too! the food came out quick, hot and so well presented! it is honestly some of the best food we’ve had on any of our dates - i definitely recommend the thai duck stir fry and the japanese katsu. portion sizes were very good, we’re already planning our next visit!
