we had a great lunch here!! I definitely recommend it! the stir fried rice with chicken was a 10/10. and everything else we ordered was perfect too. they have a condition that if you don’t like the food you don’t pay for it. but we did in fact pay because it was yummy!!
We loved our quiet dinner at this place. The tuna sashimi was excellent as was my New York Subway kaburi. My son loved his kappa maki & green uramaki. We both enjoyed the cold textured chocolate ganache mochi (we’d have loved to have tried the mango, but they were fresh out). The choice selection was vast, so we might need to come back ajother time. The green tea comes in a tiny pot but with refills. The waiter was friendly even if the service was a bit slow due to external courier orders - still, dinner in under an hour, that’s expedient by London standards. And they do doggybags if your eyes are hungrier than your stomach. :) Recommended if you want a lovely bite of sushi & sashimi in the middle of the Portobello mkt.
food is delicious as always and you can get discounts through “The Fork”. service was a bit cold but not too much of an issue.
The place is located inside the Notting Hill market area. It’s small but well organized, with a good layout to seat customers comfortably. There was a man who seemed to be the manager or even the owner, judging by his attitude and how he interacted with everyone. He truly has an extraordinary gift for service and leadership, and his presence makes a big difference in the overall experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t fully meet our expectations. The sushi felt like it was mostly rice, with very little flavor and no truffle flavor at all. The chicken katsu curry was better. The sauce was tasty, and the chicken had good flavor and a nice crunch. The black pepper chicken wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad either. The dumplings were okay. The prawn katsu sando was more interesting and different thanks to its sauce, but it could definitely use more protein. Overall, while the food was hit or miss, I really want to highlight the excellent work of the person leading the place. His attitude, energy, and service truly stand out and elevate the experience.
I had a lovely time at sushi & co, the food was delicious. Staff were very attentive and made sure everything was okay, and had speedy food service! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a sushi lover!
