The Gun
London
This 250 year old river side pub, getting its name from a time when nearby factories produced guns for the Naval vessels, is perfect for eating out with friends or going for a quiet drink with one or two chums in the afternoon.
Inside, there are several areas in which to recline including a couple of snugs with plush red Chesterfield arm chairs. Elsewhere, a large dining room and an outer terrace overlooking the Thames provides even more seating space, especially during the summer months when the warmer climes begin. They also host private functions and parties at The Gun, just check out the website for details on making inquiries.
When it comes to food and drink at The Gun, each is executed and presented wonderfully. For all the real ale lovers out there, there's a host of different choices on tap. From the kitchen, with dishes like smoked haddock and mussels in a broth, or the crispy and succulent roast cod, you can't be disappointed with the traditional English supplements.
Check out The Gun if you're in or around The City as it's really close to both Canary Wharf and the O2.
Opening times: Monday - Saturday: 11:00 – 24:00, Sundays: 11:00 – 23:00
