Very good service and friendly staff. The food was tasty and well prepared. However, the seafood boil had a strong Indian-style flavor and was much spicier than we expected, even though we ordered the mildest sauce. While we still enjoyed the meal, it wasn’t the type of seafood boil we were expecting.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing seafood spot in Camden! Visited The Shrimp Shack in Camden with my wife and we had a great experience. The location is fantastic and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was incredible – fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. Everything we ordered was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. The only thing that could be improved was the customer service, as the staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or welcoming. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience definitely made up for it. If you’re in Camden and love seafood, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We would happily come back again! 🦐❤️
The seafood boil my wife ordered was the standout — great shrimp, calamari, and oysters with a thick, flavourful sauce. The lobster was a bit disappointing on the meat front, and the sides (rice and chips) were poor — inedible rice and floppy, flavourless chips. My steak was cooked fine but had zero seasoning and was quite chewy, so I ordered a burger instead. Glad I did — the burger was genuinely good and saved my meal. The mango-guava mocktail was a nice surprise too: generous, tasty, and well-priced. Unlimited drinks are good value. Service from our waitress was great — attentive and flexible, letting us move to a bigger table without any fuss. The low point was the manager’s response when I gave honest feedback about the steak. Rather than taking it on board, he told me it was my fault for ordering steak at a seafood restaurant. That kind of dismissiveness really soured what had been a decent evening. Great seafood, a solid burger, but weak sides and poor management communication. Worth visiting for the seafood boil — just manage your expectations on everything else.
Went to Shrimp Shack in Camden for the seafood boil but it absolutely delivered in many more ways! If you’ve never tried a seafood boil before, this is a great place to start. Big portions, proper flavour, and everything felt fresh and well put together. Shrimp is the headline, but the menu is surprisingly broad. You don’t have to be all-in on seafood to enjoy it. Plenty of solid options across the board. Value for money stood out too. Camden prices can be wild, but this felt fair. Example: steak with two sides and a sauce for £19.95. That’s rare, and the quality backed it up. Friendly staff, clean venue, no fuss. If you’re in Camden and wondering where to eat, this is an easy yes.
Really enjoyed our visit to Shrimp Shack. The shrimp was really tasty with a nice coating cooked well and full of flavour. The fries were good too, and there was a great selection of sauces to try with everything. The milkshakes were OK, not the best I’ve had, but still decent. Next time we’ll definitely try the seafood boil as it looked really good. We were greeted by Zee who was really friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall a great spot and one I’d definitely recommend.
