The best tasting fish and seafood dishes we have eaten in any country. We ate lobster dumplings, small plates and fish specials and everything was outstanding. We loved the modern furnishings and relaxed atmosphere. Our server, Cameron, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations.
Overall speaking it’s a high quality restaurant. I ordered oysters from two places and they were very fresh. The fish (main course) was delicious too. However I wish they had told me the day’s special earlier because later on when I saw the waiter served other tables, they showed them the board (they didn’t show me) and the smaller portions of the day’s fish were gone. Would be good to take care of people who came solo too. Other than that, they have a lovely wine menu and seatings are comfortable and airy.
I sample a lot of tasting menus but this is certainly one of the most unique and exceptional I have had and is one I always recommend. The food is incredible but also the knowledge of the chefs is amazing and to speak to them as they’re making dinner for you in such a small and intimate dining space is truly a pleasure and makes this a stand out location. Will definitely be back.
We had a great start to our meal with my son and my mother. The food initially was enjoyable, and we ordered generously, spending over £100 per person. However, the final dish — clams — was full of sand and completely inedible. What was most disappointing was not just the food, but the attitude. When we raised the issue, the staff simply said they had “done their best” and walked away with no intention of resolving it. No apology, no solution. When I asked to remove the dish from the bill, the staff became visibly unhappy, and we were made to feel unwelcome — almost as if we were being pushed out. It is unacceptable that customers cannot even point out an obvious issue with a dish. This level of service completely ruined what should have been a lovely family evening.
The space is cozy, with fresh seafood displayed by the window, which instantly sets the tone. We ordered kingfish, sea bream, smoked eel and hake, really impressed by all of them. The flavor combinations were creative and well-balanced. Highly recommended!
