Delicious, authentic food in a wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for pre-show food, and was great that they catered so well for vegans as well as vegetarians. Will definitely be coming back!
It’s always great to dine here. Great food - especially like the paneer and love the dahi vada. The seating is bit of an issue which can be improved. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit. By the closing time the staff tries to push you to eat quickly as they want to clean up and go home, they can definitely be trained to be kinder to the customers in letting them finish the food in peace. Their chai and lassi is very good.
★★★★★ Food here is so nice. I had The Large thali and it was plenty filling for me — fresh, flavourful, and really good value for Soho. The connected temple upstairs is a hidden gem — such a peaceful spot after eating. I was happy the whole time and I’ll be visiting again and again.
Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch who is looking for pure vegetarian food in the middle of London. Very low prices and great service provided. The interior, the music, cutlery and the food feels like you are in India. A good variety in the menu. Overall a nice place to go.
Govinda’s Soho is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially after visiting the Hare Krishna temple upstairs. There’s a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere that makes the experience feel quite special. I had the Extravaganza Veg Thali, which was generous, wholesome, and packed with a variety of flavours. It’s satvik and a great way to sample different dishes in one meal. The food and overall setting were very enjoyable. The only area for improvement would be the service experience. While the staff were efficient, a warmer and more welcoming approach would make guests feel even more at home. Overall, a lovely vegetarian dining experience, and I would happily return.
