My family and I went here to celebrate my sisters graduation 🎓! The service from minute we stepped in was amazing! Such lovely people, and we really appreciated this. My sister and I have been to other hawksmoor locations before which were equally acceptional. Sadly, our experience with the food at the Air street location wasn’t up to standard. We ordered many things from the menu. The scallops i ordered as a starter was bland.. it had no taste eben though it was covered in garlic. I don’t know how that was possible but that’s what happened 😞. Now for the mains, I ordered a fish 🐟 with a side of a roasted sweet potato 🍠 , the rest of my family all ordered steaks 🥩 with a side of mac and cheese 🫕, mash and gravy etc. When I tell you, ALLLL of our mains and my sweet potato were COVEREF in salt!!! Probably salt crystals at this point 😬 - my sister could NOT finish her food, my brother had to return his steak, my parents and I just finished our food as we were starving but I sure picked at the food for a while. Luckily, the servers were lovely and took our feedback. Adding on, we got discounted and more. We’re really glad about this! Im not sure if it was something to do with the chef that day but maybe next time, the food will be way better! 💗
Lovely atmosphere and environment. We had a booth and it was comfortable for the 4 of us. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. The food was amazing. I had fillet steak with mac and cheese, anchovy Hollandaise, fries, and greens. Cocktails were sensational. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful setting. All of the staff that we dealt with were lovely, helpful, accommodating and very friendly. We e ordered the prime rib to share with a Rioja wine and it was amazing. Cooked really well and a good quality piece of meat. We will be returning.
Heard and read many nice things about Hawksmoor and decided to give it a try. Absolutely enjoyed the salads especially after a hot, sunny evening in London. The mackerel was delicious, not too fishy and paired very well with the greens. Also had the dry aged rump. Was not satisfied with how it turned out and got it changed. The server was so obliging, apologetic and friendly. He even gave me an additional portion of fries while I waited for my replacement. Good service, good food. Will definitely come back again.
Came here from Oxford with a friend after the STP guy (STP = Sticky Toffee Pudding) on Tiktok rated the one from this place as one of his highest. The sticky toffee pudding was not overhyped. It was by far the best we've had in our lives and it made the trip very much worth it. I also had the surf and turf with lobster and fillet steak. The lobster tasted okay, but it was my first ever lobster, so i believe this is just my taste. The lobster was otherwise cooked nicely and well seasoned! The fillet steak was absolutely gorgeous, flavourful and had a beautiful sear on it. I also got a side of chips, which were beautifully crispy! My friend had the Sunday roast which they also enjoyed thouroughly. Wait time was ~45 minutes to get our mains, but the place was very busy so it was not a bother. The staff were very welcoming and gave great service. I would definitely come back here when I'm able, if only for the sticky toffee pudding 😋
