The Lost Angel
This lively Battersea diner is perfect for meet-ups with mates, especially at the weekends and evenings, or for a simple dinner for two. The atmosphere is intense but friendly, and the menus (food and drinks) are veritable feasts for the eyes.
Inside The Lost Angel it's like being in a fairytale land of enchanted woods in which cherubs and other creatures dwell, such is the artwork on the walls and general decor of the place. Even the online drinks menu comes with an accompanying rhyming-couplet full-page poem about aforementioned topics.
Indeed, the drinks menu is flooded with cocktails, beers (real ale and lagers), ciders, champagnes, wines, liquor and 'liquorless' beverages, while the food side of things includes pork belly, fillet steak, mussels and tenderloin.
They really don't do things by halves at the Lost Angel, especially when it comes to, what they've coined, the hours of happiness (where all cocktails are £4.50) - there are loads of them. Tuesdays and Wednesdays go from 17:00 - 20:00, while Thursdays is all night. Friday is 17:00 - 19:00, Saturday is 12:00 - 19:30, and Sunday is another lengthy one with an all-day happy hour session.
They provide live music and DJ sets to coincide with happy hours, just to make your experience all the more awesome and memorable (depending on how much you have to drink).
Opening times: Monday: closed, Tuesday - Thursday: 17:00 - 23:00, Friday: 17:00 - 14:00, Saturday: 12:00 - 14:00, Sunday: 12:00 - 23:00
