Bill's
London
Bill’s is a place for casual dining and delicious home cooked food. The original branch of Bill’s opened in Lewes in 2001 and aimed to combine an old-fashioned grocer with a mid-market deli. It has now branched out and opened up a number of chain cafes dotted around the south of the country, which in London can be found in Wimbledon, Soho, Richmond, Islington and Covent Garden.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu features a mix of Bill's own dishes as well as a selection of good old British comfort food. Here you can try exotic risottos and mezze boards, or opt for the more naughty options such as fish and chips, macaroni cheese or fish finger sandwiches. Bill’s also has a delicious tea time menu where you can try their homemade desserts, cakes, smoothies and hot drinks.
Inside the cafe, Bill's sells it own jams, sauces, chutneys and biscuits, as well as hampers that include a selection of food and drink from their own range. All items can also be bought online via the website.
Bill's restaurant also opens early in the morning. Monday to Friday the doors are open as early as 08:00 so it is perfect for a quick breakfast before you are due into work. The breakfast menu is as good as the dinner counterpart and is certainly worth the reservation. Try out the Hot Breakfast with sausage, eggs, bacon, beans and toast. You can also have an addition of Bubble and Squeak for true British flavour! There is a vegetarian option with poached eggs and guacamole, a variety of egg dishes (including Benedict and Florentine) as well as Porridge for a lighter start to the day.
