Opened by professional baker Ben Mackinnon, E5 is an artisan bakery and coffee shop located in East London. You’ll find E5 housed within a railway arch close to London Fields in Hackney.
Using flour from local mills and organic locally sourced ingredients, it produces freshly baked breads, lunches and homemade cakes each day. The wide selection of breads include white, multigrain and fruit varieties, as well as baguettes, ciabattas and bagels. Cakes and pastries come in all flavours, with everything from British eccles cakes to coffee-house classics on offer.
E5 also runs classes at the bakery on Saturdays & Sundays, as well as special classes, which can be tailored to your personal requirements during the week. In these all-day sessions you’ll learn the best bread-making techniques from one of E5 bakehouse's seasoned bakers. Classes run from 11am to 5.30pm and cost £95 for the day.
