Vintage! Between the high-end, super-unique boutiques and the cheap-as-chips markets and thrift stores lies Rokit. Picking a chic selection of great quality pieces in good condition, it has a terrific stock of used (but lovely) shoes, hats, dresses, suits, jackets and everything in between. Between the multitude of vintage clothing stores in London, Rokit selling point for many is the fact that it removes much of the inconvenience of taking the tube to the middle of nowhere to trawl through clothing bins, but for interesting and unique pieces it’s still a lot better-priced than the high-end stores.
There are several outlets of Rokit. First off, don’t bother with the Camden store – it’s tiny and the selection is much smaller than its counterparts. The Covent Garden store is excellent and has a boutique feel, and though a little more expensive, is worth it for the quality of pieces offered – count on finding a dress, jacket or bag that you won’t see anyone else, ever.
