Sketchout at The V&A
London
The Sketchout classes at the V&A Museum are run by Rosa Roberts, an independent artist who uses the facilities at the V&A in the cultural centre of London. The workshops are an ideal creative day out, either for individuals who want to rekindle an old passion or for families looking for an alternative day out.
A typical workshop will begin at 10am with an introductory session to familiarise guests with the main principles of drawing, shading and other foundations on which to build throughout the day. Guests then are allowed to select a sculpture from the V&A collection and draw this artwork. During this time you will have one-on-one support and guidance from Rosa herself. Tailored to suit the needs of the individual, classes are kept small and open to people of all artistic capability from complete beginner to creative professional.
Afternoon lessons entail further experimentation with different types of drawing and an overall consolidation of what has been learnt during the morning session.
Workshop prices vary according to date or class size. To make a booking, or for further information, please contact Rosa by email at info@sketchout.net or by telephone on 07883 068 325.
