You’ve all been to London’s hotspots, but how about over them? With Up at the O2, visitors can not only visit the world famous iconic landmark, but climb to its peak and enjoy a capital view of the city in an unforgettable 90 minute experience.
Warmly dressed in a specialized suit and securely strapped to a guide rope, you climb to the top of the 52-metre dome along a fabric walkway where you’ll definitely be glad of the nearby handrails to steady your shaky legs. Upon reaching the structure’s summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of London from the large, open aired platform, pointing out famous buildings and popular attractions. Here you will spot Canary Wharf, the Chard, Big Ben before completing your adventure with a hair raising decent back to base camp.
Catering for all visitors, Up at the O2 is now offering climbs for wheelchair users, details of which can be found on their website.
The O2 arena is one of London’s largest music venues, with big names such as the Rolling Stones, Florence and the Machine and Justin Bieber gracing the stage. It also plays host to a number of popular shows, including Strictly Come Dancing and The X-Factor.
Please note that those wishing to climb the O2 arena must be over 10 years old, taller than 1.2metres and of adequate fitness.
