Description
Explore the historic, picturesque towns of Windsor and Eton in this four-hour guided day trip from London. After meeting your guide, your day starts with an easy 45-minute train ride from London’s Ealing Broadway to Windsor and Eton. During the ride, your guide will share exciting stories to prepare you for what you’re about to experience. Upon arrival, you’ll take a guided walking tour outside Windsor Castle. We’ll stroll along the Long Walk in Windsor’s Great Park, a famous tree-lined avenue offering stunning views of the castle. You’ll also get to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony, where the famous red-uniformed guards perform a choreographed handover in a showcase of British military precision and tradition. Following the guard ceremony, your group will head toward Peascod Street and Alexandra Garden. Along the way, wander through Windsor’s historic district with cobbled streets and traditional shops as your guide points out the best photo spots and hidden gems. You’ll also get a chance to see the swans that swim along the riverside. Next, your guide will take you over the bridge into the small village of Eton, home to Eton College. You’ll learn about the school’s history and prestigious alumni, including several royals and prime ministers. While entrance is restricted, you’ll get photo-worthy views of the school’s ground and building exteriors.
