What a night! We managed to get a seat at the bar (big thanks to Teddy), and it was the best decision! Chef Dileesha was outstanding. The Not Boring Broccoli was incredible, the calamari were the best I’ve ever had and the ribeye was absolutely delicious A special shoutout to the sommelier, who introduced us to some fantastic Greek wines, we loved both of the recommendation. And finally, big up to Igor, our favourite waiter ever! Thank you for your patience, your recommendations, and your beautiful smile. You truly made our evening special. We’ll definitely be back. Excellent Greek restaurant in London. The place is stunning with a great ambiance. I went with some friends and it was ideal, but I think it’s also perfect for dates — basically, great for any occasion haha. The food was a solid 10/10. We shared some starters: aubergines, tarama, calamari, prawns, and bread. Everything was delicious and super tasty, so I highly recommend it. We chose dishes randomly, so considering that, I think even the dishes I haven’t tried must be good. For the mains, I had the Greek salad and the black cod. The salad was amazing, made with very fresh products (it’s nice to eat a tomato with actual flavour in London). The cod was good, although not my personal favourite because I’m not really into the risotto combination — but that’s a very subjective opinion. The desserts were perfect, and they also have a great wine selection. The French wines were a bit expensive, I think. The service was also very good: the staff were organised, attentive, and responsive. And if you want to continue the night, there’s a bar downstairs. We didn’t stay long, but it’s definitely worth trying.
We made our reservation on Saturday morning for the evening. Over the phone, we were told that only counter seating was available. We asked if it would be possible to change it to a regular table, and they said they would sort it out. However, the confirmation notification still showed counter seating, and when we arrived, that was indeed the case. The restaurant manager did everything possible to help, but due to how busy it was, we had to keep the counter seats. So I would definitely recommend making sure your reservation details, including the number of guests and preferred seating, are confirmed clearly in advance — otherwise it can be difficult to change things when the restaurant is busy. After that, though, the experience was excellent. Sitting right by the kitchen, Oleh from Ukraine and Chef Deisha gave us a fantastic experience. We chose the tasting menu with white wine pairing, and everything was delicious. The service was also excellent. I’m sure next time I’ll make the reservation more clearly and properly beforehand.
Zephyr in Notting Hill absolutely lived up to the hype. Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully balanced, and packed with flavour while still letting the quality of the ingredients shine. We started with the Bluefin Tuna, served with citrus vinaigrette and smoked salt, and it was outstanding — incredibly fresh and buttery, with the citrus bringing a bright sharpness that elevated the richness of the tuna perfectly. The Calamari, paired with citrus zest and chilli jam mayo, was crisp, light, and addictive, with just the right amount of heat and zing. The Smoked Cheese Croquettes with metsovone smoked cheese and chilli jam were an instant favourite — perfectly golden on the outside with a rich, molten smoky centre that paired beautifully with the sweetness of the chilli jam. The Courgette Tempura, served with paprika sauce and oregano, was delicate and airy while still full of flavour, with the paprika adding a subtle warmth that tied the dish together beautifully. For mains, the Lamb charred spiced cutlets were cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and deeply flavourful with a gorgeous smoky char from the grill. The Baby Chicken with lemon oil and spices was equally impressive: succulent, perfectly seasoned, and full of Mediterranean flavour with beautifully crisp skin. The standout for us, though, was the whole grilled Seabass with amarillo butter. The fish was grilled to perfection with lightly charred, crispy skin and incredibly tender flesh underneath. The amarillo butter added richness and depth without overpowering the delicate flavour of the seabass — an exceptional dish from start to finish. Honestly, every plate we ordered was exceptional. Zephyr manages to feel refined and elevated without ever being pretentious. Combined with the lively atmosphere and warm service, it easily ranks as one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in London. We’ll absolutely be back.
Zephyr was wonderful from start to finish. The service was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. We began with a Negroni -excellent, especially with the olive oil- and an Old Fashioned, both perfectly balanced. The bread basket is a must-order; every variety was equally good. We paired it with the smoked aubergine and tarama, which were both beautifully done. From the starters, the Greek salad was fresh and vibrant, and the courgette tempura was light and crisp. I would definitely recommend ordering from the “Raw” section of the menu, the yellowtail was outstanding and incredibly fresh. For mains, the lamb cutlets were perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and the soutzoukakia were rich and comforting. To finish, we had the yoghurt crémeux and loukoumades. The Turkish coffee dulce de leche on the loukoumades was a standout and the perfect sweet ending. Overall, an excellent dining experience, we will definitely be back.
