Brasserie Blanc is part of a chain by chef Raymond Blanc. The staff were welcoming and courteous and the service was good. I had the starter of crab and avocado which was delicious and the duck for the main, I felt could have had a bit more seasoning. I loved the tart au citron, which is my favourite dessert. It was sharp and sweet and the perfect consistency. Brasserie Blanc was a delight and I would love to return for a dinner experience.

Had the pre theatre menu. £33.50 for three courses. Unlike some restaurants ,that provide a pared down menu and smaller portions, this was a great choice. The quality of the food and portion size was excellent.Service was courteous and attentive. Lovely ambience. I had gazpacho (with baguette) then pork loin and finally chocolate mousse. Ginger beer and coffee were my chosen extras. 3 course plus drinks £88 for two.

The Brasserie Blanc is really an institution in the UK. Having previously had dinner at the Brasserie Blanc in Oxford I knew the quality was up there. The cuisine is really a classic French cuisine very generous and we can see the staff and cook really care about the customers. I had the courgette veloute, for starter, the chicken breast with spring vegetables and morel mushrooms for main and a pistachio souffle for dessert with a blackberry tea at the end. Everything was of very good quality and made with lots of care. Overall I think this a very honest restaurant.

Well… We received a virgin red letter experience at Blanc Brasserie for our Christmas treat. Sadly, we forgot and we booked on 16th April 2026 for 2 people at Waterloo brasserie at 1pm. We arrived and taken to our table prepared with the associated menu for the gift. Three courses with Prosecco. My darling wife is a veggie and non drinker but the menu covered this beautifully. Service was excellent and attentive. Starter: cheese soufflé for me and pea and feta croquettes for my wife. Main: Duck parfait and pea, asparagus risotto for my wife Dessert: Had to be brûlée and a wickedly tasty rhubarb and crème Anglais. Thé cheese board looked fantastic being served to another customer. So I’ve given top marks for ambience, service and quality. So well done team and thank you. We shall return many times.

Great location for south bank Theatre. I agree with the other reviewers that service is good but also that the food isn't what we were expecting for a Raymond Blanc restaurant. A red wine sauce was watery as were the mussels. Still, enjoyable meal and note that its Christmas so give them benefit of doubt.
