Top Rated - Restaurants in London

When hunting for the top rated restaurants in London, it’s worth trusting the voices of those who’ve actually been there. These picks aren’t based on critics or one-off high scores, but solid, consistent ratings from travellers who’ve left their honest feedback after dining here. You’ll find everything from cosy neighbourhood spots in Shoreditch to more polished places near Covent Garden where locals and visitors alike agree the food’s genuinely great.

Keep in mind, ratings can reflect a lot more than just the food. Service, atmosphere, and even how busy the place feels on a wet London evening all come into play. Also, if you’re visiting in summer, try to grab a table near one of the restaurant terraces or patios. It can totally change the experience and it’s often mentioned in reviews. These restaurants have earned their places through repeated positive feedback, so you’re less likely to be disappointed when you visit.

Local dining tip

If you’re in London during warmer months, pick a top rated restaurant with outdoor seating. Places with patios or street-facing tables in areas like Soho or Southbank offer a lovely vibe and give you a moment to soak in the city’s energy while you eat. It’s also a great way to avoid the sometimes cramped indoor spaces of popular spots. If outdoor dining isn’t an option, aim for a mid-afternoon booking when it’s a bit quieter. Many of these restaurants get busy come evening, so this lets you enjoy the experience calmly and usually gets more attentive service.
