Opening up their second establishment within the City's Square Mile, Coco di Mama (translating into English as 'mummy's boy') yet again succeeds in providing the bustling working-life Londoners their caffeine and carbs fix.

Pasta comes by the cup-full and the coffee there is delicious. The flat white is a particular standout especially when compared to the other brand competitors. When it comes to food, Coco di Mama draws in people by the fistful. They prepare their pasta very early in the day and, come the lunch rush hour, revitalise it by soaking it in boiling water ready to serve up one ladle at a time.

Whether it's the newly-produced roast turkey and chorizo sauce, four cheese, pawns and chilli or peas and cheese that goes with your cup of pasta, you get to choose how to finish off. Shake on as much Parmesan as you like and olive oil for the final flavoursome flourish.

They also do baguettes which are filled with all manner of Italian produce. Mozzarella, pesto, prosciutto, salami, tomatoes and basil are all possible candidates to slip between the sliced sub. Pop into Coco di Mama for the ideal snack-meal that'll keep you going for hours.
