Reviews
Everything about this restaurant exceeded expectations. The food was well prepared, tasty, and served in good portions. We started with the octopus and burrata, followed by the tagliatelle for our main, and shared the tiramisu for dessert. All good options. The restaurant itself is a small, cozy space spread across different levels. We sat upstairs and really enjoyed the atmosphere. A special mention goes to the staff, my apologies as I can’t remember their names, a tall, lovely gentleman and a lovely woman who took great care of us. They made us feel welcome and were attentive, generous, and warm. The service made a positive difference to our experience, and we made sure to tell them directly because they deserved to hear it. Working in hospitality is demanding, and dealing with customers can be even more challenging, yet they carried out their roles with grace and kindness. Thanks.
I don't often write with such enthusiasm but tonight is one of those special nights. For the discerning diner in London, searching for the finest wines from around the world and the most unforgettable dishes, congratulations, you found it. Just make sure you book ahead because Doppo is in demand and rightly so.
What a great evening at Doppo during my long Easter weekend getaway to London. The service was amazing (thank you Alister & Thomas), everyone is super friendly and was able to give us great recommendations. The food was delicious as well as being beautifully presented and the wine selection was extensive. I didn’t have any wine but I did have some great cocktails. Will definitely be back again the next time I’m visiting!
Fabulous dinner restaurant in the heart of SOHO with a unique menu every day. Small intimate restaurant for a romantic dinner or a small group of friends before the theater. Service is professional and courteous. They attend to all your dining needs. On the high end of costs, but well worth the money. Make sure to make a reservation and note since they are a small venue, you might not be able to extend your stay past two hours as they have other diners who would like your same experience. You can't blame them, the food and wine are outstanding. We will be back next time in London!
Amazing meal from start to finish at Doppo in Soho — one of the best Italian spots in London! We tried the Pici and Pappardelle pastas, both perfectly fresh with great texture and beautiful balance of flavours — just the right portion and wonderfully delicious. The appetisers were equally excellent: the arancini were crisp and rich, and the burrata was creamy and fresh. The wine list is pretty good (it’s actually won awards and gets talked about a lot), with great options by the glass and lovely recommendations from the staff to pair with what you’re eating. What really stands out is the cosy, buzzy atmosphere alongside attentive service — whether you’re dining as a couple, with friends or on your own, you feel well looked after. We were told the menu changes regularly (though the pasta favourites seem to stick around), so there’s always a reason to return. Can’t wait to go back! 🍷🍝
