#toast 658 — had a wonderful time at Dovetale for breakfast and dessert. I loved the way that they plated everything - especially their selected cutleries and plates were stunning. Their dessert menu is not to be missed - flavours are creative and textures are incredible. The coconut and yuzu sorbet is allergen-free, giving an enjoyable experience to everyone that wants dessert. There’s fun textures with coconut caviar - something so creative and experimental. A friend suggested meeting here for Sunday lunch. Wow, it is so beautiful 😍 Big fireplaces, comfy cozy chairs. The Sunday roast was exceptional! So much tasty food! The staff were divine! So helpful, friendly and attentive, without being in your face. It was a very special treat! Can't wait to go back sometime!! ❤️
I had breakfast at Dovetale and the experience was wonderful. The café is beautiful with warm, modern décor, quiet, elegant and very comfortable. The service was excellent, truly five stars and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was simple but clearly made with care and the shakshuka was delicious. I loved the coffee. Everything about the place was perfect and I will visit them every time I come to London.
Dovetale On Saturday we enjoyed a fabulous brunch at Dovetale a restaurant set on the ground floor of the 1 Hotel Mayfair. The food was delicious , the service was very friendly and there’s also a very relaxing atmosphere so when you put all this together it’s an ideal way to start your weekend. The restaurant s under the name of two michelin star chef Tom Sellers and they have a very good team including head maitre’d and my good friend Matthew O’Connor who along with the amazing Sylwia leads the very friendly team perfectly. The restaurant is situated on Dover Street which is only a couple of minutes walk from Green Park Underground Station. We entered and received a lovely warm welcome before being escorted to our table. We had a great view of the bar , the restaurant and the outside terrace. The restaurant just like the hotel is all about no waste and they also do a lot for the local community. The menu which can be designed to be shared consists of oysters , eggs , small plates , main courses , sides and desserts. There is also the option of a brunch set menu and you can choose items from either menu. We started with the Shakshuka , Moroccan style baked eggs. This was followed by the mains of the House Cobb Salad with crispy turkey , bacon , avocado , blue cheese and tomato , the Waygu Cheeseburger with smoked pickles , 1000 island dressing and fries. Off the set menu we chose Sylwia’s recommendation of the Herb - Fed flat iron Chicken with chilli , garlic , lemon and fries. Every dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. After a nice break and a chat with Sylwia and Matthew it was time for dessert and to create your very own Knickerbocker Glory. You get to choose tour choice of ice cream , sauce toppings and of course cream. Mine was made the Matthew himself and it was absolutely delicious. We finished our drinks before heading off thanking the team for a fantastic afternoon. I really would recommend a visit to Dovetale because you get to enjoy fabulous food and service in a very relaxed environment something that’s not easy to find in Mayfair. They are planning to bring back the Sunday Lunch a bit later in the year which is something I will definitely return for if I don’t go back earlier. Thank You Matthew , Sylwia and all the team for your hospitality and look forward to seeing you again soon. On Sunday we did indeed return for the Sunday Roast menu and glorious it was to. Once again the food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the Steak Tartare and Chicken Liver Pate to start before indulging in two fabulous roasts the Beef which was perfect and my wife opted for the Chicken which she loved. We finished with the Apple and Berry Crumble and I just couldn’t resist having the Knickerbocker Glory. I would definitely recommend coming for the Sunday Roast and enjoy a fabulous afternoon in a delightful atmosphere.
